First and above all, it is a fascinating nature shot. What particularly appeals to me is the contrast of the rock, which is perfectly in focus, and the sky, which is blurred by movement. The main focus of the picture is just on the far left, which distinguishis it from most photos depicting similar kinds of scenery (most of them have the person in the center).
There is more to this, however. The single person standing on the rock takes this picture gives it a deeper meaning. Most simply speaking, it could be depicting loneliness, but the atmosphere is not simply desolate or depressing, as the bright sky seems to add some kind of purpose to it. It is a strength of this picture that it requires a second look and leaves room for interpretation.
Were this image is concerned it adds, not detracts from the detail, the drift on the sky pulls the figure on the cliff into a sharper focus, drawing the eye to were it needs to look.
This gives a feeling of a loss, the lone figure stood on the edge of an abyss, an image, to work must give the viewer an emotion, it must make you ask questions of what you are looking at to work, this image works.
It nice to see a mix of styles in this, its not unusual to see this artist use motion within the sky but the combination with the static foreground gives this a lot more depth.
The use of black and white compliments this, colour simply would not have worked.
