I adore lonely old trees. And this one is joining the list. It's a beautiful one, with it's arthritic old branches dancing up into the sky. And whatever you did to capture the sky like that (exposure? sorry, don't know much about photography), makes the photo even more captivating. It also adds depth, as the tree pops out of the picture. There also seems to be a circle of light around the tree- you can see it in the grass. So you have some great contrasts all around, too. But overall, this photo speaks to me of solidarity and freedom, open skies and open fields. It also reminds me of where I grew up.

Out of all the thumbnails that were on my screen this one was really standing out, so I opened it. Can't say I regret doing so.

I love the impact of this picture, the long exposure gives the clouds that 'running water' look and makes everything very smooth to watch. The subject itself is very beautiful. Trees are so very nice to capture, especially when the are a bit differently shaped from others and when they stand alone. The light is beautifully done as well.

Don't know about the background though. Maybe it was possible to walk around the tree and take a different angle to avoid the trees in the background? In my opinion your picture would have come out even stronger that way. Just the grass, the tree and the clouds. I hope you understand what I mean.

Overall a really nice capture. Very well done!
