A beautiful image, with a very strong contrast in light which i think makes this image. Together with the composition it is very beautiful.

I have seen enough empty piers along with a smooth sea and i really like the fact that this has a person at the end of it. It makes you think; What made him come to this place? What is he thinking?

The title might suggest that he feels on top of the world, or lonely at the top. It leaves a great mystery for us viewers to think about.

I think all together it is a great b/w-shot with the perfect lighting
